Today in Turkmenistan the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, is widely celebrated.

On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations to his compatriots and cultural and artistic figures of the country.

“Culture and art are the spiritual heritage of the people. The development of the cultural system ensures the unity of society and the spiritual revival of the nation,” the Message says.

Currently, in order to promote the achievements of Turkmen culture and art in the world, improve the professionalism of creative workers, and inspire citizens to fruitful activities in the name of the people and the country, various festivals, concerts, exhibitions, creative meetings, and other cultural events are regularly organized.

Culture Days successfully held in Turkmenistan and abroad contribute to the development of friendly and fraternal relations between peoples. Of particular importance is the Culture Week, which has become a good tradition and is held on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

“Today we live in the wonderful time that Magtymguly Fragi dreamed of, we are proud of the high authority and glory of our country in the world,” the President noted.

The head of state cites as an example lines from Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s poem “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi”:

The path of the poet is initially both mysterious and simple,
He solemnly takes up his permanent post.
At the foot of the Kopetdag stood today at full height
His Highness Magtymguly Fragi.

“…Today Magtymguly Fragi, standing at a height at the foot of the Kopetdag, proudly looks at our sovereign state, at the happy people. The bright appearance of the poet-thinker embodied pride and great faith in the independence of the Turkmen state,” the President concluded, wishing the people of Turkmenistan good health, family well-being, and great success in creative activity, TDH reports.
