According to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is one of the most important partners of Turkmenistan in the South Asian region. Turkmen-Pakistani relations are characterized by a high level of mutual trust and understanding. This, in turn, is a solid foundation for the continuous and multilateral development of cooperation at the bilateral level, as well as within the framework of prestigious international organizations. Our countries mutually support each other's positive initiatives.
During the meeting, our Hero Friend and the guest exchanged views on important issues of bilateral cooperation. The trade and economic system is one of the main areas of cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint energy and communication projects in the region, in particular, the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline. At the same time, the projects of the optical fiber communication system and the electric transmission line along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route are of great importance. It was expressed confidence that the successful implementation of these large-scale projects will stimulate the socio-economic development of the entire region and become an important condition for peace and sustainable development. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan is ready to support the promotion of specific proposals aimed at developing mutually advantageous intergovernmental cooperation.
