Maritime and River Transport Sector Celebrates International Women’s Day

In the first days of spring—a symbol of beauty and renewal—our country widely celebrates March 8, International Women's Day. In a nation where the dignity of women is sacred and respect for mothers is held in the highest regard, this holiday takes on a special significance. In this context, on March 4, 2026, a solemn meeting titled "Happy Women of a Prosperous State" was held in the assembly hall of "Balkan Shipyard" OJSC, organized jointly with the public organizations of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by women working at the State Service of Maritime and River Transport, its subordinate institutions, and its affiliated joint-stock companies. During the ceremony, representatives of public organizations delivered speeches highlighting the wide opportunities created for women by the Honorable President and the state’s ongoing advocacy work. They also congratulated the happy women of our prosperous era on International Women's Day, expressing high appreciation for the conditions and care provided to them.

One of the most touching moments of the festive event was the official presentation of monetary gifts in the amount of 60 (sixty) manats on behalf of the Honorable President to the female employees of the State Service and its structural units. During the presentation, the women expressed their heartfelt gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the profound respect shown to women's dignity. They wished the Head of State sound health, long life, and prosperity, pledging to continue contributing significantly to the development of the national economy.
