On January 10, 2026, the 64th meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of Turkmenistan on the Caspian Sea was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting was attended by the relevant Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leadership and representatives of various ministries and relevant agencies of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, information was provided on the results of the work of the Interdepartmental Commission for the past year in accordance with the tasks outlined in the Plan of the Commission for 2025.

Furthermore, the Plan of the Interdepartmental Commission of Turkmenistan on the Caspian Sea for 2026 was approved. Particular emphasis was placed on the upcoming tasks in the context of implementing the said Plan in the first half of the year.

As is known, Turkmenistan has held a proactive position in developing balanced solutions on Caspian issues for many years and played an important role in enhancing the legal framework of cooperation in the Caspian Sea. This process is currently continuing in collaboration with all Caspian states within the framework of international law.
