The tanker Koroglu, owned by the Shipping Fleet of JSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), has completed a scheduled overhaul and resumed operations, making its first voyage to the port of Gyýanly in Turkmenistan since the upgrade.
The repairs were completed on schedule at the Zigh Shipbuilding and Repair Plant, Caliber.Az reported Wednesday, citing ASCO.
The overhaul included cleaning and painting the vessel’s underwater and above-water sections, refurbishing the deck and engine room, and work on pipelines, electrical systems, and the hull. The living quarters and mess hall were also renovated.
After the overhaul, the tanker successfully passed sea trials and returned to transporting crude oil.
On July 17, 2024, the tanker Zangilan, built at the Baku Shipyard for ASCO, made its first commercial voyage.
