Trade between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached $1.76 billion in 2024, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al Hameli said Monday at the opening of ADNOC’s office in Ashgabat.
The diplomat noted that the UAE ranks third among Turkmenistan’s foreign trade partners.
Al Hameli also conveyed greetings from UAE leadership and thanked Turkmenistan’s President and government for their continued support of the embassy in Ashgabat.
In 2023, trade between the two countries reached $1.29 billion, up 15.8 percent from 2022. Turkmen exports to the UAE rose 13.3 percent, while imports from the UAE increased 16.2 percent. Turkmenistan’s exports mainly include chemical products, energy goods, and agricultural produce, while imports from the UAE primarily consist of metallurgical products, vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
