Following the successful exhibition of Turkmenistan’s export potential in Iran’s Golestan Province, local authorities now plan to present their own products at a reciprocal exhibition in Turkmenistan, Deputy Governor of Golestan Abdul Ali Kian Mehr said, according to a report by Mehr News Agency on Tuesday.
The event, expected to take place within the next two to three months, will likely be held in Ashgabat or the Balkan province. It is seen as a key step toward strengthening bilateral economic and cultural cooperation.
The deputy governor noted that the exhibition will help expand trade relations and could increase the volume of bilateral trade by up to 30%.
According to the report, the development of cross-border infrastructure and the establishment of a joint Iran-Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce are laying the groundwork for sustainable economic partnership and regional integration.
From May 5 to 7, 2025, a large-scale exhibition of Turkmen goods was held in the Iranian city of Gorgan.
