Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Toyly Atayev, met with Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Olexandr Mischenko, in Kyiv on September 29. The two sides placed particular emphasis on supporting Turkmen companies in the Ukrainian market and companies operating in Turkmenistan.
According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian sectors, as well as collaboration within international organizations. Special attention was given to proposals for holding political consultations.
The officials highlighted the stable nature of trade and economic relations and expressed readiness to promote the expansion of business ties.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Olexandr Mischenko handed over a congratulatory letter from the leadership of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Ambassador of Turkmenistan on the occasion of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Ukraine were established on October 10, 1992.
