President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held meetings with Eiji Hosoi, President and CEO of Japan’s Toyo Engineering Corporation, and Olivier Deloumeau, head of the French company IGNFІ. The meetings took place on Sunday during the festive horse races in Ashgabat, held in honor of the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence, according to official Turkmen media.
The guests warmly congratulated the head of state on the national holiday and praised Turkmenistan’s achievements in socio-economic development.
Eiji Hosoi emphasized the strategic nature of Turkmen-Japanese relations and recalled joint projects, including the construction of a gas chemical complex in Kiyanly with the participation of Toyo Engineering.
Olivier Deloumeau, visiting Turkmenistan for the first time, noted the country’s impressive cultural heritage and expressed IGNFІ’s interest in participating in projects focused on agricultural digitalization, the introduction of precision farming technologies, and improving crop yields.
President Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider proposals from both companies in new areas of cooperation and highlighted the importance of introducing innovations in the industrial and agro-industrial sectors.
The head of state expressed confidence that such initiatives would strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships and open up additional opportunities for the country’s economic development.
