As part of the 2025 Social and Economic Development and Investment Program, Turkmenistan is set to attract 40.072 billion manats in investments by the end of the year, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) in Ashgabat on Friday.
The funds will be allocated for the construction and modernization of industrial and socio-cultural facilities, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
The implementation of these investments will enable the construction of new residential buildings, modern towns, and villages, as well as the creation of comfortable living conditions for citizens.
The main goal of the country’s economic policy is to improve the well-being of the people. New jobs are being created in all regions, and social protection for the population is being strengthened. By year-end, over 3,000 new jobs are expected to be created, the President added.
During the meeting, the Turkmen leader also tasked officials with developing and presenting the "Turkmenistan Social and Economic Development and Investment Program for 2026" for the Halk Maslahaty’s review.
The meeting, held in conjunction with Turkmenistan's 34th independence anniversary, focused on key issues related to ensuring citizens’ well-being and the country’s continued social and economic development.
