Turkmenistan, Georgia to Produce Documentary Film on Multilateral Partnership

Turkmenistan and Georgia will produce a documentary film highlighting the multilateral partnership between the two countries, based on strong traditions of friendship and productive cooperation, as the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia reported.

The project was discussed during a meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia, Dowletmyrat Seyitmammedov, and renowned Georgian film director Tengiz Malania, held Monday in Tbilisi.

The film, which will be produced with the support of Georgia’s Ministry of Culture, will showcase the achievements of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, transport and energy, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.

During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat spoke about major international events planned in connection with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality, as well as the declaration of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust." Both sides expressed confidence that the project will become an important step toward strengthening bilateral relations and advancing joint initiatives.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia were established on July 16, 1992. Over the past decades, cooperation has steadily developed in the areas of economy, transport, energy, culture, and education.
