Turkmenistan, Germany Aim to Boost Direct Business Contacts

Turkmenistan and Germany discussed expanding direct contacts between business communities and chambers of commerce of the two countries during a meeting between Turkmen Consul in Germany Murad Ozbekbayev and officials of the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, state media reported on Wednesday.

The talks were attended by Petra Dick-Walter, state secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture, as well as representatives of the Rheinhessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The sides identified key areas for potential cooperation, including energy, chemical industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, mechanical engineering and high-tech production.

Discussions also covered the organization of business visits and joint events between Turkmen and German companies.

From September 22 to October 9, 2025, Turkmen entrepreneurs are expected to take part in the “Business Partnership with Germany” program alongside colleagues from Kazakhstan.
